Hello all! I always found this was a good place to get help, so I've got another one for ya.

I recently picked up a 93 Audi S4 with the 2.2 20v turbo engine. Was fine for the first week I had it, but for the last week or so I've been getting a stuttering under acceleration between 3k and 4500 rpm. It doesn't ever do it in first gear, only 2nd to 5th, and I would say it only happens about 75 percent of the time. It also only happens under moderate to hard acceleration, If I'm just going about my business normally it doesn't happen. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

1. Nashville?
2. ignition components good (OEM or equivalent)?
3. Codes? You will need to not shut off the engine when reading codes after a malfunction on this car, otherwise it will lose its memory. Also a 2+2 connector is required to read them.

Ignition components are all OEM or equivalent.

I don't have a code reader, I guess ill track one down. The check engine light is on though.

Yes, Nashville. :)

find out why the CEL is on. Those cars are known for MAP sensor failure as well. Maybe check the little vacuum line inside the ECU as well as the vacuum line going to the ECU.

Sorry to hear about the Nashville part..

Figured it would've been a POS (power output stage), good to know you figured it out.
