You will need valve springs and valve spring retainers. The car will most likely not idle due to CIS having an air metering plate and the overlap will push air back into the intake system and push the plate down.

The things in your list dont really need to be changed.. if you wanted to take full advantage of the cams, you will need to change the fuel injection system altogether.

dual DCOEs will always be superior to fuel injection :)

well, i am on a budget build kind of. so i need to know the do's and don'ts of the swap. if it would suit the 'runability' better, i could change the cams. i am trying to get a 2l block to mount this head to.

carbs would be awesome, i agree. but as funds are not what they used to be i have to settle for the cis.

It's a personal bias, I admit it.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say milder cams are a win in this situation.

ok how about a compromise? TBI on stand alone. you cant argue with the sound ITBs make ;)

Soon as my god-damnned kitchen remodel is done!!

Already have the Megasquirt built and tested, motor is built, ITB's are sitting on the shelf, chassis is all stitch welded... Pretty much needs the engine bay painted, wiring done, and assembly work.
