Just watching the first season of Homeland it is a awesome show! Now I can't wait for the new season to start next month.
Watched Office Space.....hehe
I can't find the copy of God Bless America :( Nobody has it. Lame! Watched the Incredibles, though. :)
It's on Netflix instant.
so I watched Total Recall last weekend.. I actually enjoyed it, but that's probably because I expected very little out of it, and I think that both Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel are some of the hotter women on screen right now :D
I wrote this on facebook the other day:

So, I had a pretty good idea what to expect with this film. I knew it was a pretty straight forward scifi action movie with no new twists. I watched it ready to simply enjoy an action movie.. and I did. I did come away quite impressed with the cinematography in the city action sequences as well... really unique and good stuff. There really wasn't much special about the film.. besides Kate and Jessica.. but that's ok, because I expected nothing more.
Anyone who thought it wasn't worth watching probably expected too much (why!?) and/or isn't a large enough fan of scifi that they can even enjoy so-so movies :P . I look forward to seeing the original now.. which also wasn't very good.. but I still enjoyed it :D
Watched Hackers while doing laundry.
Watched 'Knight and Day' last night - it was very silly but I liked it. Quite funny at times, lots of ridiculous action.
A week or so ago I stumbled across "London Boulevard" which looked to be right up my alley. British 'gangster' film with Colin Farrell & Keira Knightley  It is a very good movie, but I feel I ought to note that it is a tragedy.

that does look awesome, and it is Netflix Instant :)
Yup, that is where I watched it, too! After browsing their movies for like 45 minutes looking for something that looked good, that is. Not terribly happy with their 'online' selection.
Netflix is better for tv shows these days.. which I'm ok with. It's basically why I signed up. Watching movies other ways is easy.. but whole tv series are often tough and/or expensive.
I watched the original Total Recall last night. Holy cow it's a lot more violent than the new one. I really don't know if either is better than the other. The new movie is more different from the original than I thought, though the new one is super easily identifiable as a remake. The acting is much better in the new one.. surprisingly ('cause it's not that good). The new movie has maybe a little more believable scenario as well. The original movie is more action fantasy, and a little less science fiction. The character in the new movie is also more believable as an "agent" or "spy".. no one can hit anyone with their guns in the original movie.. and the new movie barely has any shooting at all, with some good chases.
The original is a bit of a classic.. so it's hard to judge it as objectively as I'd like compared with the new movie. I do think that they're fairly even on the 'quality' front though.. neither is that great :D
watched The Hunger Games tonight. I saw it in the theatre as well. I essentially had the same thoughts about the movie now as I did then.. so that's good. The main actress knows very well how to express herself without saying anything.. it's a great quality to have, and I'm sure she'll do ver well if she keeps things up. I've been told that the movie basically sucks compared to the book.. I wouldn't know. On its own I think it does pretty well though. I like the weird world that is presented. The editing is quite good as well.. that always helps. Some of the acting is not very good, and some of the cinematography isn't as good, but overall I did enjoy the film, and I'm looking forward to the rest (hoping they're not much worse).
Hackers: excellent choice!
ENERGZR: The only internet access I have is via MWR computers, so that's a no go :( but, we're making a trip to a FOB shortly, and I will be scouring the PX for that movie haha
The past couple days, we watched: Pulp Fiction, How to Lose Friends and Alienate People (can't believe I haven't even heard of that one before; quite good), 300, Heat, and Green Street Hooligans (one of my favorites).
We should be back early Dec. Much appreciate it, but the mail system has been quite slow, and I doubt I'd get it by the time we leave! haha
Watched Howard the Duck (not sure what to say about that one), Hercules (the Disney animation), Major League (classic), and trying to decide what to watch now...
The Goods. Nailed it.
watched Tron Legacy tonight.. first time since I saw it in the theatre.
I got a lot more out of the movie this time.. and still enjoyed it. It's so beautiful visually and audibly.. just a beautiful film. I also realized how many of the main actors carried over from the original 1982 film.. including the Tron character. It's pretty amazing that they can keep actors around for work in these films decades later.. and then use their voices in the video games and in the animated series (Tron Uprising).
It's definitely a slow paced film where not a whole lot happens.. especially for it being 2 hours. But it's a good movie none-the-less.. worth watching if you like fantasy and can get into the atmosphere it's creating.
I agree, I love Tron Legacy. I'm not into fantasy/sci-fi or whatever, but this is one of my favorite movies.
sorry, London Boulevard
