That sounds good!
I had an SCT flash tuner for EEC-IV on my '96 Escort Turbo, what a pain! Can't stand flash tuning, especially without having logs of any sort. Guess some numbers, flash, drive, re-guess, flash, drive...etc. forever

gotcha. I'd love to have the M3 out there too.. but it appears that its battery is dead. We'll see how well that goes. I won't be able to buy a new battery until mid February.. most likely![]()

Yeah, when I decide I want more power I'll be going standalone. It's in the 10 year plan...but not in the next couple. I do plan on a BOV to mitigate compressor surge & an electronic boost controller to properly manage the boost to the fuel curve (currently has a manual boost controller on it). The ST cars have a beefy mid-range, but then taper off on the top end (kinda like a stock 1.8T), and the fuel curve is designed to match that. So with a manual boost controller you can set it safe so you don't meltdown, but miss out on the mid-range peak....or you set it for the mid-range and risk melting it down. Apexi makes a nice unit that will allow for custom boost limits based off rpms, so with a little dyno time & a wideband I should be able to safely trim and maximize performance from the current configuration. Not cheap...but cheaper than trying to get my hands on another YBP.![]()
That will probably be tax return next year.
But more reading & research is required before I go dicking with anything. This is only my second turbo car, and my first real adventure into one.![]()

I probably won't make C&G until March. Took the car on the freeway today, and it's got a vibration that I'm almost positive is the tires. So I'll probably wait on a south trip until I get the new tires on.

Going to try re-balancing the rears on Friday...the pending results will determine my plans for next Saturday.
Edit: Just realized C&G is next weekend...not this coming weekend.![]()

yessir
I'd love to drive the M3 up to Bellingham too. I might be able to have the wheel bearing fixed next month, so then I'd be much more free to take it on a 'road trip'![]()

So the wheel refinish is going to be put on hold. With a bunch of OT I've been working that was unplanned & tax returns...I'm going to order a set of 17" that I really want.
Also, Alex, would you be interested in assisting with a new switch plate or spacer for the existing plate at some point later on this year with your fancy 3D printer?

Definitely doable, I've been meaning to start work again on printing some other parts. Got a new nozzle I need to try out.

Sweet. No particular rush. I'll try to work on getting some dimensions and what not over the upcoming weeks. Give me a shout whenever you're game and I'll try to schedule some time to scoot down there.

Rear tires were way out of balance...big surprise as it had been sitting 2 years.
So Saturday C&G is back on at this point in time, assuming I don't have to work.

Those are definitely big.. 4 piston?
How large are the front and rear rotors?

6 piston, 305mm front. 273mm rear (stock caliper). Though I should measure...because the rotors aren't stock, so they may have been upsized and relocated the OE caliper.
