Some more progress on the brakes.

Built some new lines, since I am going to a 4 channel ABS system.

Then put them in. Still need to do a bit of tweaking, I don't like how far down they sit currently.

Yep, that's ugly. Since the proper non-abs brake booster brackets for manual VR cars are getting harder and harder to come by, I decided to build my own out of the two smaller pieces from an auto passat and the abs manual corrado.

Let's see about making it less ugly, shall we?

    And its a perfect fit!

I also made some changes to the front of the factory lines going under the car, I plan to attach new lengths here and run them to the new ABS valve body.

Also, motor mounts are in. Can't imagine what I might need those for.

Got another couple days of work in! Since the leavenworth drive has a date now, I have a countdown!

EDIT: BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA That was over two years ago, it still hasn't been to Leavenworth!

Took a good look at my front crossmember, and found this unhappy bit of... I don't even know where I was going with that. Anyway, cracked. Time to repair!

    Looking better.

    Looking much better.

And in. I know I'll have to drop it again in the near future to get the lower rad support in, but its in need of some serious cleanup first, so I just decided to go ahead without it.

This is definitely going in the Garages thread.

Trans is all prettied up now.

Yea, its open while we were getting things together, didn't want a lift chain contacting the PCV port on the valve cover. It was covered up after this shot with a nice clean towel, so all is well.

    Then proceeded to do this:

    And caught up now!

This weekend, I'll be working on the ABS some more, and starting to wire the bay.

Ebay OBX headers he bought second hand for dirt cheap. They actually sealed up ok after taking them to a machine shop to surface the flange.
