One of the many Volvos I used to own. This one was a '71 142e. Photo taken with my favorite 12-24mm Nikkor lens.

I know I'm breaking the rules by posting more than one, but I haven't posted to this thread in a while. Here's a bunch of pics from our recent trip to Hawaii:

that's at 1600, and the camera is nearly 10 years old.

huh. guess I was at 800. swore I had it at 1600 that whole day.
regardless, it's noisy and I want a new camera.
it's a fact I have to live with until I have $1800 to spend.
i have to get less ambitious in existing light situations i guess. i hate flash.
so do I...
the shot above is rather ambitious.. backlit with much less subject lighting

Anyone tried using multi-source flash? I have a couple of Speedlight SB-900's, and a master trigger, and was experimenting with the setup... but nothing has me jazzed yet. Not sure if the flashes are supposed to be set up like three-point lighting, just like video production (key, fill, and back). If so, then I need a third flash.
Any insight or direction would be appreciated.
I also want to try delaying one of the flash modules ever so slightly, and use a hair-longer exposure to capture some of the light "delay".
