    1.) The car's a German boat.
2.) It has a large boot.
3.) I'm an aspiring recording engineer: das Boot --> dB --> decibels.

What engine do you have, EK20? I have the biturbo V6, but it's running a stock map on mostly stock components.
    Cheers! :-)

    Yup. That'll do it.

Although, even at stock levels, I find I have power in reserve on the roads I like best.

Yeah, it's never felt for lack of power really. After trying out the chip trial, I knew I had to chip it. Night and day difference.

Greets everyone...My name is Geoff, and even though I don't currently own a euro car I'm going to share my current modes of transport.

Das boot (former DD, camping/tow rig, off road family hauler)

currently transmission no workie and about to get the axe so that I can get back into a VW or start down the BMW path.

    Nice weather DD..99 ZG1000

    former hooning vehicle

And lastly, me on the right.. The hippy looking guy is the owner of the FLU-419 that we're standing on, and has taught me everything that I didn't want to know about classic minis, and he's a mercedes diesel nut. (and my best friend)

I'll have to check around my computer to see if I have anymore....he got it from ft lewis the last time they DRMO'd off a bunch of 'Mogs..said he got it under 5k shipped down to oregon, but it was not running. A few weeks later with a fuel bleed and a jump he got it running. Lucky bastid!

As far as the transmission goes, I have another 700r4 lined up that I'm going to install hopefully over the next few weeks that will allow me to sell a running/driving vehicle. I'm going to miss the LSD and snow antics but I'm not going to miss the 8 mpg that I get in town. 33 in tires and 3.08 gears

    @ VDubVirus...Well played kind sir.

Well, the story behind my screen name originates in high school biology class... so I see FLU and that's my first thought.

    WTF is a "FLU" anyways?

I am probably going get pwned by ken here, but the flu is a US military issued unimog 406 distributed by freightliner who had contracts with mercedes to purchase unfinished unimogs and modify them with front loaders and scoop bucket thingies. they are hard to register and are all us military.... made in germany. ken knows more than i about this though.

lol... I didn't even see in his post that he mentioned the FLU.... paying attention would have prevented me from posting pictures of the influenza viruses.
