    Great Canadian 2010

pretty good show this year.. the rain sucked horribly on Saturday, and it was still drizzling most of the morning on Sunday. Everyone was washing their cars in the parking lot, and I ended up wiping my car down three or four times after it rained again.. waiting for judges to show up.

good times were had though, as always. A group of about 10 cars met up in Lynnwood to drive up on Saturday morning.. most of us went to the Boston Pizza GTG that night (no pics from me this year) and then some went on to a party to late in the morning. Then there was the show on sunday with lots of nice air & watercooled VW's, and a cruise back with seven of some of the most beautiful VW's from the area mobbing down I-5... was awesome.

    the cruise up:

    mileage

    the Sunday show:

subs & amp made to look like an 80s boombox

bird's car showing some canadian pride

annoys me that Canada gets a "golf" wagon now

this car was awesome.. one of the nicest & most complete mk2's I've seen in a long time. Oh, and it had a VR5 turbo..

these guys were pretty freakin' good

    loved this vanagon..

    simply awesome..

    and the drive back..

I missed it this year I wish I could have gone. Thanks for sharing your photo's. I love that green GTI, it is most definitely awsome... I also really like the port rose metallic Ur Quattro, that gray 4000 and that vw 412

the UR Quattro is still one of my favorites

the gray 4000 looked pretty good... engine bay had some issues, and it was far from clean in there, but otherwise, quite nice

    Engine swap? 20 valve Turbo?

  8. #8
was a 20v turbo, iirc.. he had a dyno sheet on the car that looked nice, but I don't remember the numbers

in the photo you can see how messy the engine bay is.. and you can see the hose hanging below the front bumper as well..

Ya, but to me it's function over form for a car like that. I'm sure it would catch some new "fast" cars off guard and that's what matters
