I'm not brainstorming colors. I'm just noting some attractive colors.

The car is polished up. I'm surprised. It nice and shiny now. It needs another once over but at least now it doesn't look like it was painted with chalk.

The paint is still on the rough side even after the cleaner wax quickie. It needs a days worth of claybar'ing, more waxing and then some hand glaze. She is cleaning up nicely. All that funk in the previous photos came off with ease.

Glad you approve of the purchase Mike, I appreciate how critical your eye is.

I'm getting this Zender front. I found one for silly cheap, not my favorite but it's uninstalled and in very good condition and looks better than the North American front and my current bumperless look.a

    Your thoughts?

    Quit it you monkeys.

So no Zender for me. I'm picking up some custom tuck bumper brackets as well as a LeCarra MK8 steering wheel for cheap. I'm continuously surprised at how cheap I've been able to get parts, new and used.

Dealer parts? OEM parts? Cheapest place online ive found is blunttech.com, the guy is super cheap and you usually get the part next day

You just gotta email him, hes small time, 99% of his business comes from r3vlimited.com, mostly e30s

I replaced the o2 sensor, spark plug, cap and rotor as well as the air filter. The car notably more pep. I really have to say that I'm starting to love this car! The driving experience is up there.

Even though it has manual steering and is an auto, it just feels good to drive. The throttle is very responsive and the steering is razor sharp although the stock suspension is squishy. The squish is perfect for a comfortable ride. I'm half tempted to do an old-man (ducatipaso) restoration on it and keep everything stock.

you are going to leave it autotragic? That is very old woman of you

It's still peppy and that auto transmission's nickname is "The Panzer" because it's almost indestructible. And I am getting a little old man-ish.

I'm picking up the shortened bumper brackets tomorrow and re-installing my bumper. I'll post up pictures while I'm done. My bumper will have the same brackets as shown in this picture. I'm excited, that looks way better than the stock North American bumper shock diving board look.

I'm trying to get these off of Tiger. He doesn't want much, but I'm down to raiding my change jar for parts. So hurry and buy my bottlecaps Mike!

I forgot yesterday's update. I replaced the harder to find roundel (BMW emblem) on the trunk and talked with my body/paint guy about the respray. He agrees that a full respray is in order even though the original paimt is good. I'm going to try and time it with the motor swap so I can clean up the bay.

Work for today: shortened bumper brackets and bumper install and hopefully a nifty new steering wheel.
