Sweet! Well I hope you do. It would be good to have another car-person that's new(er) to the car, going through the process of learning a new car. As you've probably read, I loved everything about this car so far. I'd even be really tempted to keep the auto tranny, if it had longer top gear. But, this thing is at 3k rpm, in top gear, at 40-45 mph!

Tomorrow, if it isn't too cold, I'm going to swap out the belts and the guibo. And it couldn't come sooner. The alternator belt is squealing like a raped pig. Which brings me to the alternator itself, it feels a bit wobbly. I think there might be issue with the mount bushings (if it has any). I need to get her up on the lift and take a look. And degrease the bottom of the motor. As soon as The Werkstatt slows down, maybe they can spare me a little lift time. Otherwise, I'm going to have to sneak in after hours.

use that, plus a plastic bristled brush to scrub areas of thick grime buildup

I love those brushes! They're really good at cleaning M2 .50cal machine guns too. ...........................

Hey Twelvizm how do you buy parts on WorldPac? Do you have to be a dealer or i am missing something?

  11. #161

So, it took a couple of days of hit and miss to catch Walloth and Hesch in their office, in Germany. But, it was sooooo worth it. This shipping time is un-earthly. I can't even order something online from here in Portland and get it this fast.

Holy crap that is some amazing shipping right there!!!

  16. #166
No shit huh? Without exaggeration, this is the best shipping I've seen in my life. It took right around 48 hours from order, to receiving the package....from Germany!

Here's the difference in color and shape:

I'm going to have to adjust the plugs to work since they are socketed differently.

    Not wired yet, but installed:

I have 3 with screwdriver like handles with the 3 on the left..... but now I need to add another tool to my tool box!

This looks like it would totally take those plugs apart!

Got a pinning tool, thanks homie. Although i like that universal tool. Re-pinning is complete. Unfortunately the light isn't wired for parking lights. I'm going to have to cannibalize the old light for it's socket.

no, dont do that... pull that other wire to a city light. get some H4s with a city position. do it. the outers should be blinker only.
