Hey Mikey! Have you thought of a name for it? To me when I saw it, it looks kinda like Sonic the Hedgehog. Cool truck.

    Sweet truck!
All it needs now are some e-code headlights!

  6. #31
oh man you're not kidding. I'm gonna go get some better lamps on the way home from work today.

The 3 things I do to all of my vehicles is put PIAA wipers on them, relay the headlight harness and go e-codes if possible.

  8. #33
I bet you can do an H4 swap on them headlights and then wire up HID's, some 5ks should look correct. Kinda like SKIDMRK did on his Caddy. Same thing I'll eventually be doing on the bimmer to get rid of these damn sealed beams.

Here's the link where Shawn W got his:

My buddy came over 2 days ago and showed me his HID's in his e-codes on his mkI GTI and they look awesome!
He said that he bought them for $35 on a BMW site.
Only downside is that his are only low beam.

I'll be installing similar with 55/60s to keep the wiring stock.

these things have gone up a few bucks over the years!

    Yes but soo worth it!

The last time I bought some was probably 4-5 years ago on an ad on thesamba.com .
I got a new set of the 7" rounds and a used set of 4x6" for $50 shipped!

  12. #37
that's a bargain! maybe I'll get cheapies since it is a truck.
I used to have a set that I rotated from car to car to car I let them go awhile back.

The problems i've had before with the cheapies is that they always seem to get moisture in them no matter what you do!
    All of mine are Hella's!

today I shall take a load of crap to the dump

  17. #42
hey today was the big day we hauled off 750# of crap, and finally ditched the wood/carpet out of the back.
it drives nice with that much load.

Got home and pressure washed off the bed now that the cab is done with the cleanup and all I could say was WOW.

then the kid and I found a convenient lamppost and hooked up a big ratcheting tiedown and I pulled the front bumper out a bit. it looks much better and now the grille fits.

be nice to replace these parts in time

all I have to do now is rub out the box and find a nice bedliner

no coatings for this gem. the bed is a single-wall so a plastic liner will be optimal. they come up for sale occasionally for $50-100 used.

Those aren't more sealed beams are they?

I'd totally put in halo'ed HIDs just for the asshattery factor.
