True! They did annotate that the front rotors are drilled and slotted

weird.. when I had the car they didn't do that, but I guess it wasn't really at the dealer much after the 36k mile mark (just for the fuel filter hose recall thingy)

Yeah, I prefer handling issues myself; or taking it to Fine Tuning. I know they wanted to do an inspection for TDI recall modification, could've been why it was super thorough

It's all rumor and speculation right now. One of the techs mentioned that CARB wanted each car to get a retrofit AdBlue system

Traded the OZ Ultraleggeras for fifteen52 Tarmacs, and had them put on the GTI yesterday. Already have an offer for the factory wheels too

I finally got around to doing the front/rear differentials, transfer case, and trans filter/fluids on the Toyota. Also did the oil change and recently had the steering rack, front right CV, tie rods and ball joints replaced and re-aligned. I need to get a jack that'll lift this beast.. I did everything without lifting it but would be much nicer having a bit more room.

put some new bulbs in as 'fogs', though I think I'm going to swap them to Jen's car already, far too cool a color

Changed the oil on the truck and changed the reverse bulbs on the GTI to a pair of deAutokey LED reverse bulbs.

Direct comparison betweeen the deAutokey LED reverse bulbs in my GTI and factory bulbs in my wife's Touareg

Replaced a headlight bulb in the Ridgeline. It was pretty exciting.

I was looking at backup camera options for it when I stumbled upon this handy how to video:

It's sorta like watching the assembly line in reverse.

Replaced my brakelights with LEDs. Now, only the tail lights, blinkers, and DRLs (only because I can't find a yellow LED in that size) are standard bulbs on the A3. Getting there...

I believe the number is PS19W

EDIT1: Sylvania says its a 5201 bulb... hmm. need to check the owner's manual. Getting conflicting info online.

EDIT2: looks like they're more widely available, now. I guess I'll research which ones are best, and error free.

I'm hoping for some good 964 loot for Christmas. If I get what I put on the wish list I'll be sure to post up some installed pics!

Had a RSB installed. Can't believe the difference it made.
