Congrats Joel!
Spent most of the day removing dents from my front fenders, and shaving the banana markers and rubstrip marker holes. Going to do the whole car eventually, but need to start somewhere. Just primered up and a cell phone pic, but thought I would throw it in for good measure

Today, hooked up my city lights. Not a huge deal, but doing small things all the time will help the car come together.![]()

I wish I could find some pictures of our old unimog. I loved that beast.
Worked on the truck a bit more today until the clouds burned off and warmed up.
The best thing about working on cars are the new tools that you get to buy!
What type of Mog was it rover31?
I don't know the technical info on it but I think it was originally used for personnel transport. the bed had the canvas cover like a covered wagon (but army green), and there were long benches lining the sides of the bed. Was brought into seattle from Canada were a friend om my step dad owned it first and then my step dad bought it from his friend. We didn't own it long but I remember how much fun it was to drive... even around town![]()
destriped it last night... well, most of it.![]()
getting ready to go out and wash mine as soon as our driveway is in the shade

Well I just wrapped up working on my Mog for the 2nd time today.
I can't get the damn clutch pedal assembly un-seized up and its driving me crazy!
get some kroil and soak that thing
i destriped the driver door using a bit of brute force
now at least I have just bad paint, not bad paint with a brown stripe. lesser of 2 evils, mos def.
I've been drowning that thing in both Kroil and PB Blaster!
I think today I will introduce some HEAT and whip out my torch and see what I can free up!
Just got done with a oil change, in the middle of the week After work ! WIN !!
my car is getting dirty.. slowly.![]()

Managed to do it with out me huh!I drove mine that was about it.
I got out the plumbers torch and heated the crap out of parts so that I could get them free'd up! After an hour or so I was able to free up the parts.
Next project is getting the clutch pedal free'd up.......MORE FIRE!
don't burn that thing down
Today will be a fun day of draining all of the fluids from the truck so that I can fill them with new stuff this weekend.
5 1/2 gallons of new fluids!....aaaaaargh!
recycling that is gonna be fun. man I miss the old days.
I'll just take it down to the local FLAPS and dump it in their container for free.
