    Hesitant to pull the trigger...

I am going to wrap the interior wood trim in my Touareg with this special 3M vinyl. I am debating whether to do dry carbon or not. Can't decide.

    The stuff: http://www.drycarbonwrap.com/index.html

The interior (wood on dash, doors, and console):

    What it could look like:

    Go carbon!

The wood looks old, and the high gloss black never really appealed to me. Looks too much like a cheap car.

You'll prolly never match the silver dead on, so you'll be bugged by the difference everytime you're in the car.

agree. the carbon looks nice and has less glare to boot

Yeah, my wife hates the wood too, and she is SUPER picky about matching the silver. She has a great eye I mean, better than mine. Anything that wasn't a perfect match she'd make me redo. They make a flat black that is supposed to look like euro trim... This stuff is thick, it is embossed with texture and looks absolutely real.

i personally love piano black. the sound of flat carbon fiber doesnt sit well in my stock. maybe if it was gloss, for more or a classy look. but its not my car.
i for sure wanna see pics with which ever way you go!!!

I sent for some samples, we'll see. The piano black in my Tahoe was about 5 mm thick, they poured it into a mold and put adhesive on it. So this stuff is a lot thinner, we'll see how it looks.

I've contemplating doing something very similar with my Touareg. I'm not interested in carbon, but I was thinking of wrapping my trim instead of painting it. I wrapped my MkV trim in black CF and took it off shortly afterwards.

If I could find silver CF, i'd def go that way though. I think it has a dirtier, more industrial, look to it than black CF.

Yeah, she crashed it. Gonna fix the outside before I get to the inside. She wanted floors and a deck, I guess she ****ed herself.
